Lakewood 2008 graduate Amber Chase, daughter of Robin and Kyle Chase of Woodland, was a recent Keisha MacDonald Dare2Dream Foundation recipient. The foundation honors Keisha, a 2006 Lakewood graduate, who died in a car crash in February of 2007. 2nd Annual Fundraiser

You are cordially invited to our second annual Keisha MacDonald Dare 2 Dream Fundraiser Event!  Come join us Saturday, August 23rd, for another unforgettable tribute to an unforgettable girl!!!  This years event is being held at Tyler Creek Golf Course & Campground from 2pm till ??? Golf starts at 4pm, but you can come and eat anytime after 2pm. Anyone who wants to camp can contact the campground (www.tylercreekgolf.com) and say they are with "The Keisha MacDonald Celebration" and there are several spots being held for us. Like last year there will be food, fun golf, prizes, and also this year live music! Thank you in advance for helping us celebrate Keisha! The deadline for pre-registration is Friday, August 15th, and that as always…….

The Keisha MacDonald Dare 2 Dream Model and Talent Search!!

February 14, 2008

This free event will be held Sat. Feb. 23, from 10am-3pm at The Woodland Creek Apartments Clubhouse, 3300 E. Paris SE, in Kentwood, MI. We are searching for actors and models to award the "Keisha MacDonald Dare 2 Dream Scholarship" and the "Launch Showcase Keisha MacDonald Scholarship" that both honor Keisha MacDonald, one of Launch's stars and Top Detroit/International Model that was tragically lost in February of 2007. 

Anyone who has a serious passion for this industry may audition Sat. Feb. 23 between 10am and 3pm. Potential models bring 2 snapshot's, one head and one body shot.  Actors will need to perform a 30 second monologue. You will be judged by a representative scouting for Traque International Model and Talent Detroit; CDU models Tokyo; Code Models NY, and several Los Angeles based Talent Managers.  

If awarded the scholarships, your entry fee to "Launch Showcase " in Chicago, Il will be covered (a $1,300.00 value).  Launch will allow you to showcase your talents in front of model and talent scouts from around the globe. One individual will also win a photo shoot with an internationally renowned photographer (a $600.00 value). We are looking for individuals who possess the same qualities that Keisha did: energy, drive, compassion and determination. Only those serious about taking this journey need apply.
